Great Gray Owls

I had a wonderful time with a Great Gray Owl in Yellowstone National Park. I have often hoped to get a chance to photograph one it finally happened the past September.
Spent a couple of hours being amazed by the largest owl species in North Hemisphere, with a wing span of 60 inches For me, it's not just getting photos, but immersion, immersion in this wild place and the critters who call it home.

To give you an idea as to how large Great Gray Owls are their wingspan is approximately 60 inches.
Since the first opportunity I have been lucky enough to have two opportunities, one in Utah, the other in Island Park, Idaho.
